Visit the Real Sito di Carditello with Campania>Artecard, located in close proximity to the Royal Palace of Caserta. This estate, designated as one of the Delizie Reali of the Bourbons, was dedicated to the breeding and selection of royal horses, in addition to agricultural and dairy production.

Designed by the Roman architect Francesco Collecini, a student of Luigi Vanvitelli, the Real Sito consists of a central building topped by a loggia and a belvedere, flanked by additional service buildings, and an expansive elliptical gallop track, bordered by two fountains with obelisks and a circular temple in the center.

The gallop track of the Real Sito di Carditello is the largest racecourse in the world within a royal residence. The temple, located in the center, hosted the sovereigns during events, particularly to watch the races of the prized Persano breed horses. After more than a century, thanks to an agreement with the owner Alduino di Ventimiglia, the Foundation has managed to bring horses back to the Real Sito.
