Museo Civico Multimediale di Padula

Visit the Museo Civico Multimediale di Padula with Campania>Artecard, offering an interactive and immersive journey through the thousand-year history of the city and the Vallo di Diano, from prehistoric times to the 19th century.

Housed in Palazzo Brando, near the municipal building, the Multimedia Civic Museum of Padula was established in 2014 based on a design by Fabrizio Mangoni. It offers a rigorous yet evocative interactive journey through the thousand-year history of Padula and the Vallo di Diano, from prehistory to the 19th century.

Using innovative multimedia technology, the museum provides a virtual exploration of the region and its history, leading up to the Unification of Italy. Themes such as archaeology, the Risorgimento, brigandage, the environment, and civic identity come to life room by room, narrated by the voices and images of historical figures. These figures appear on screens, revealing their stories as visitors open drawers and doors of 'talking cabinets', making for an immersive and engaging experience.

This site is part of a mini circuit that includes the Certosa di San Lorenzo, the Joe Petrosino House Museum, the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Fonte, and the Multimedia Civic Museum of Padula. By using just one entry included in the pass, visitors can explore all the sites in the mini circuit within two consecutive days.
