The exhibition at the Gallerie d'Italia in Naples starts with Caravaggio's most famous work, "The Martyrdom of St. Ursula," which was the artist's last work. The new display shows how this work was influenced by other 17th-century masterpieces, and highlights the effect that Caravaggio's new style had on art in Naples. You can see Artemisia Gentileschi's, Bernardo Cavallino's and Luca Giordano's works, among others. The exhibition continues with 18th- and 19th-century landscapes by artists such as Gaspar van Wittel, Anton Smink Pitloo, and Giacinto Gigante, who were part of the Neapolitan School. It ends with drawings and sculptures by Vincenzo Gemito, which show his amazing career and personal life.

"Vitality of Time" is a selection of 20th-century artworks from the Intesa Sanpaolo collection, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero. The exhibition takes you on a journey through art from after the war to now, with a focus on art from and inspired by Naples. You can see works by Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, Piero Manzoni, Mario Schifano, Jannis Kounellis, Sol LeWitt, Afro, Ernesto Tatafiore, and Domenico Gnoli.
