Visit the Diocesan Museum and Hypogeum Route with Campania>Artecard, located within the majestic Benevento Cathedral.

The Diocesan Museum was officially inaugurated in 1981 within the pseudo-crypt of the Benevento Cathedral, a space that preserves structural elements from the Roman era, 12th-century flooring remains, and fragments of early medieval and Gothic frescoes.

Along the hypogeum museum route, visitors can explore archaeological evidence of successive settlements over time, gaining insight into the cathedral’s millennia-old history through: informative panels, photographic images, virtual reconstructions, showcases displaying artifacts discovered on-site.

The entrance to the museum is located at the end of the right nave of the Cathedral of Benevento.
